I have rarely if ever given croggpn audio book a bad review and to be fair I feel that this narrator is not so much bad at narration but was just not right for this story.

He mispronounced many words specific to this book, and I had to reimagine all of the dialogue crod the book to match the tone and setting of the story as well as the personality of the character because I thought his impression did not make any sense at all. But, really, for Zelika to die?! I still have hope for the series, and I do look forward to reading the last book, but I really thought this one fell flat. Only the most aluson ride for the Relay and only the fastest survive, for when night falls, the drakes – deadly flightless dragons – come out to hunt.

His generosity, kindness and laughter, along with his seriousness and strength in the face of disaster make him one of the thf points of the story – and it doesn’t get much brightness once things begin to fall apart.

I cannot say that Alison Crogon is as great a writer or scholar as Tolkien but she makes a briliant effort, and I hope the the fourth offering will have the same depth and power as the first two books. His voice is bland, his accents are horrid and his dictation overall was very difficult to listen to.
