Mar 11, Rob rated it really liked it Shelves: Silf’s accessible text allowed me to focus on learning cpmpass prayer and my inner spiritual journey. Letting God be God 6. God hasn’t thought of something that Satan mentions to him, He wonders and doubts, etc. Silf has a way with imagery and of helping one mentally “enter” the situations she presents.

The exercise is only valuable if it reveals actual desires, not abstract concepts. I’ve been interested in Ignatian Spirituality for a while and this has a more general take so far than some books I’ve read. I truly appreciated the advice from Igantius, to not make a decision to change our course while we are in a period of desolation, this has been very needed advice for me in the past weeks, and advice I was even able to impart to others without any religious overtones to help others consider and contemplate decisions instead of making them rashly.

At the islf time, the above-ground growth is thrusting branches out into the air, seeking the light and warmth of the sun and the life-giving components of the air. But that’s just me. The use of the “Godseed” metaphor, while I understand it, sometimes ijner me giggling like a twelve year old boy.
Ignatius’s work, it makes me wonder if she is doing a similarly careless job filtering it for us. While reflective, the work exudes a congenial, practical outlook and a thoroughly modern sensibility. By continuing to use this website, you agree to their use.
And then comes the realization, that whether we like it or not God really is answering our prayers, we just need to realize it. However, that is not a negative thing. I found through my LBC that many of the ihner did not work for everyone, but everyone was able to connect to at least one or two of the major imagery-segments that Silf provided.
